I was not sure about taking the herbal medicine she offered as part of her treatment as the herbal medicines never agreed with me. Candace insisted I try first and if the herbal medicine didn’t work she would try something else. It’s been eight months now and my tongue has returned to its normal color most of the time, my thyroid problem is almost under control, I very rarely have reflux unless its taco night (hey, you have to live a little). I seem to be a challenge for Candace as I have so many ailments but she constantly thinks how I can benefit from her treatments and new ideas for me to try. Candace has a warm, friendly, caring approach and she really wants to see marked improvements in her patients. Although her specialty is in reproductive health and I’m a male she made it known to me that she is an acupuncturist/herbalist and she treats all conditions that are treatable through her specialty. I’m very happy to have met Candace and that she is involved in my care and well being. Thank you for your patience in listening to me ramble on when my mind is troubled. Both my wife and I will continue to go to Candace for our well being and continued maintenance.

I met Candace when my wife started treatment with her; afterward I had become a patient with Candace off and on. My medical history took an unexpected twist with Thyroid problems (hypothyroidism), ulnar pain in the right forearm, tendinitis in the left elbow, a very red purplish tongue, very high cholesterol, bad reflux disease, sleep apnea, insomnia, neck pain, feet pain, fatigue, memory impairment, and a feeling of malaise. A lot of symptoms all attacking me at the same time. The different physicians I made appointments with just counted me as another number and only took care of what they specialized in. Most couldn’t care less about ‘you’ and very rarely did they look you in the face as they were inputting into their laptop the many questions thrown at you. Candace treats the whole person. She is very caring, thoughtful and non judgmental. Candace gives you the time to express your symptoms and will answer all your questions and concerns. She insists that you have to help yourself as well so the process will be notably faster. I know the process will take time as it accumulated over time as well.

I was pregnant, and I wanted help with insomnia and eventually post-partum depression. I received help with my sciatica, which was not relieved through chiropractic. I have had (and will have again) an incredible experience with AC Family Health. My sciatica is something I don’t even feel 99% of the time. I have had relief of my insomnia, and I got help getting pregnant by regulating my cycles and getting me to ovulate. I worked with Candace. She is amazing at what she does, and also extremely kind. It was an emotional time for me when I sought help at AC Family Health, and I found compassion and understanding.

I have been a patient for six months. I originally came to AC Family Health because I was in so much pain due to a torn rotator cuff and arthritic shoulder that rehab and pain killers were not helping enough. Facing an alternative shoulder replacement, I decided to try acupuncture. Ten years ago I began having symptoms of a disease which had been diagnosed 20 years earlier. I found a pulmonologist who tried some approaches without success.
