I just wanted to let you know that my daughter, AS., was delivered last Wednesday, 10/17, via c-section, 6 lbs, 1 oz, 18 ¾ in. I labored for a little while but her heart rate kept dropping and they told me she was not tolerating the contractions so a c-section was the best way to get her out with undue stress. Not ideal but I am recovering nicely and she is an absolute angel. There is a link to some pictures we had taken at the hospital below. I started on my soup today Breast feeding is going great, she latched on right away and my milk production is very good. Once I can drive I will come in for a visit. It was an emotional time for me when I sought help at ACRH, and found compassion and understanding. I worked with Candace who is amazing at what she does and extremely kind. I have been able to get pregnant by regulating my cycles and getting me to ovulate. I also have ACRH to thank for relieving me of my insomnia and sciatica. I had tried chiropractic for relief of my sciatica and it was unsuccessful, but now I don’t even feel it 99% of the time! I have had, and will have again, an incredible experience at ACRH. Thank you so much for your services! Because of you, we have a beautiful, wonderful one year old girl-the joy of our life! Before seeing you, my husband and I had been trying for a baby for five years. After many IUI and IVF cycles, I had gotten pregnant three times-and had three miscarriages. While I have endometriosis, the doctors didn’t think it was related and couldn’t find a cause. They told us to start using donor eggs or adopt instead. I was only 34 years old! I came to see you for one last chance. Immediately upon starting acupuncture, taking herbal therapy, and correcting my diet (no sugar, no bread, warm food), I started seeing amazing changes in my body. My endometriosis improved as my periods were less painful and healthier. My blood pressure normalized and my stomach was no longer cold to the touch. I even started ovulation around day 14 instead of day 11. After 90 days, I was ready to try another IUI cycle. Before the cycle even started, I told my infertility doctor that this time was going to work because of all the amazing changes I had witnessed in my body over the last few months. He told me not to get my hopes up too high as I was a difficult case. Sure enough, I got pregnant that cycle with our daughter! Our doctor was totally shocked (and a little embarrassed!). I originally came to ACRH because my husband and I were having trouble conceiving children. I originally started seeing Candace for fertility issues but then it became so much more. I realized she could help me with my anxiety, fertility, and give us hope. We did three IUI’s and three fresh cycles of IVF and two frozen cycles. We were expecting triplets. It was the most incredible time of our lives and we were in complete shock. Then due to unfortunate circumstances we lost one of the babies at 29 weeks. Candace didn’t let me give up. She knew that the best was yet to come on March 30th and yes she was correct. We gave birth to twins. It was the best day of my life. Candace is incredible at what she does and she truly believes in you. She always made me feel comfortable and she waited until I was ready to go onto the next step.
